Cybersecurity Framework & Gap Assessments
Know Where You Are —and Where You Need to Go
Cybersecurity frameworks provide organizations with a structured model for building stronger security programs. But adopting a framework requires more than saying you follow it.
ANJOLEN’s Framework & Gap Assessments evaluate your current cybersecurity capabilities against recognized standards, validate supporting evidence, identify meaningful gaps, and create a practical roadmap toward your desired security posture.
OUR APPROACH
From Current State to Target State
ANJOLEN works with your organization to understand its environment, business objectives, security requirements, and desired target state.
Our professionals then review relevant policies, procedures, configurations, reports, documentation, and stakeholder input to determine how existing practices align with the selected framework.
The objective isn’t simply to produce a checklist of missing controls. It’s to answer: What should we improve, in what order, and why?

NIST Cybersecurity Framework Gap Assessment
ANJOLEN evaluates your cybersecurity program against NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 outcomes across its six Functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. The assessment establishes a Current Profile based on existing capabilities and evidence and can help define a Target Profile based on business requirements, threats, risk tolerance, resources, and regulatory or contractual needs. ANJOLEN then identifies the gaps between those states and develops a prioritized improvement roadmap.

CIS Gap Assessment
The CIS Critical Security Controls provide a practical and prioritized set of cybersecurity safeguards. ANJOLEN evaluates applicable safeguards across the CIS Critical Security Controls v8.1, considering the organization’s environment and appropriate Implementation Group. Controls address areas such as asset management, access control, vulnerability management, logging, incident response, recovery, and other foundational cybersecurity practices. Safeguards can be classified based on their implementation status, while recommendations are prioritized according to security exposure, business impact, dependencies, and implementation effort.
OUR DIFFERENCE
Evidence, Not Assumptions
A policy that says a control exists doesn’t necessarily mean the control is consistently implemented.
ANJOLEN uses available evidence—such as policies, procedures, configurations, reports, tickets, interviews, and other documentation—to understand what is actually occurring within the organization.
That creates a more defensible and useful baseline for improvement.

A Practical Security Roadmap
Findings are organized around action. Recommendations can distinguish between quick wins, foundational improvements, dependencies, and longer-term initiatives so organizations can improve systematically instead of trying to address every gap simultaneously.
